Founded by islanders Jonny Ingledew and Kate MacDonald, North Uist Distilling Co. brings the wild spirit of Scotland’s Outer Hebrides to life. Operating from the historic Nunton Steadings, they craft premium spirits that truly embody their rugged home. Their signature Downpour Gin is named after the dramatic Atlantic weather that shapes the land, infusing every bottle with locally foraged heather and island botanicals. It is a bold, authentic taste of Scotland—capturing the rain, the soil, and the soul of North Uist in every drop.

The distillery itself has been named Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year at the Scottish Gin Awards for three consecutive years (2022, 2023, & 2024)

• Coast and Croft - A citrus forward gin that is big, bold and full of botanicals you can taste in every drop. 
• Scottish Dry - Citrus, spice and a punch of wild Hebridean heather.
• Pink Grapefruit - This zesty edition of Downpour Gin brings you big bold flavours of pink grapefruit
• Sloe and Bramble - Sloe berries and Uist brambles are added to our Downpour Scottish Dry Gin
