Lochlea Distillery: The Spirit of the Farm

Lochlea is a truly independent, family-run distillery based in Ayrshire, Scotland. Operating as a "field-to-bottle" farm, they grow 100% of their own barley on-site, ensuring every drop of spirit is an authentic reflection of their land. Steeped in history, the farm was once the home and workplace of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns, who labored in these very fields from 1777 to 1784.

To craft their spirit, they enlisted the expertise of industry legend John Campbell, former Distillery Manager at Laphroaig for 27 years. Under his guidance, Lochlea has quickly become one of the most exciting names in the Lowlands, producing a "Highland body" whisky with a refined, elegant soul. From seasonal crops to their landmark first age-statement, tonight is a deep dive into the evolution of this rising star.
