Join us for a free evening of Australian whisky, conversation and discovery with Tim Duckett, founder of Heartwood Malt Whisky and Tasmanian Independent Bottlers.

Tim is one of Australia’s best-known independent whisky bottlers. A passionate single-malt collector, he began building relationships with Tasmania’s emerging whisky industry in the 1990s, purchasing his first cask from the then Tasmania Distillery - now Sullivans Cove - in 1999. His first Heartwood bottling, Mt Wellington, was released in 2012, followed by Tasmanian Independent Bottlers in 2015.

Heartwood is renowned for distinctive, limited-release whiskies that showcase the character of Australian and Tasmanian spirit, often bottled at bold, high strengths. TIB was created to offer a more approachable and sessionable style while retaining the independent bottler’s focus on flavour and individuality.
